Following our server migration last month, we've made some changes to how custom domains are handled on Vimsy. The good news is that, for most users, nothing has changed.

If you're only using Vimsy with a single subdomain, such as videos.yourdomain.com, using a CNAME record then you don't need to do anything.

If you're using Vimsy with multiple subdomains or as the primary website for your domain, there are some changes (for the better) regarding how we redirect those additional domains to your channel.

Specifically, we no longer use A records for redirecting. Everything is now handled through ClearAlias CNAMEs. All you need to do is replace your existing A records with CNAME records pointed to the ClearAlias URL in your Channel settings.

If this doesn't make sense we will be updating our Support Channel soon with detailed instructions for setting up your custom domain with these new settings in place. In the meantime, please contact us if you need help: support@vimsy.co
