Scheduled Downtime Confirmation: Due 21st June at 10AM GMT+1

As we announced last week, we will be migrating our primary server infrastructure soon. This will result in some downtime for Vimsy, which will not be able to operate during the migration.

We can confirm that the migration will begin at 10AM GMT+1 (London) on Friday 21st June 2019.

The migration itself will take less than 60 minutes and the vast majority of users should see the service restored within that time. However, as this change will effect the DNS records for our service, some users may experience service disruption for up to 24 hours following.

Please be aware that our team will be on hand throughout this process to offer help and guidance to anybody experiencing excessive levels of disruption, and we should stress that the vast majority of users will be unaffected after the initial 60 minutes has passed.

If you or your users experience difficulties related to the migration, please contact support@vimsy.co so that we can provide assistance.

While we carry out the vast majority of our service updates without taking Vimsy offline, on this occasion we will be moving our core database which could result in data loss if the platform remains active during this process. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.

During the downtime your channel will display a message informing users that the service will be back shortly. It might be sensible to communicate this with your channel members in advance.
